Basically, spore prints are to mushrooms what seeds are to flowers. Although it might just look like a funky circle of sand, these prints contain essential genetic information on any given strain necessary for successful cultivation.
Once you have one of our spore prints on your possession, you should first place a bit of the print into a sterilized glass jar full of distilled water. Next, get out a clean syringe and draw in the entire solution. Drain the fluid back into the glass jar and absorb it again a few times until the spores are well incorporated.
Once you feel confident with your spore syringe, zip it up in a new plastic bag and let it sit at room temp for a few days before placing it in your fridge. Usually you could leave a spore syringe in the refrigerator for a few months before it goes bad.
