Origine: The Psilocybe mexicana A strain grows in the subtropical regions of Mexico, and have been found in Guatemala as well.
In the wild it grows in grassy areas, horse pastures and meadows. It has not been found on dung.
Grow info: The yield potential of this mushroom is not very high. It's a small mushroom and the amount is very low.
The Ps. Mexicana A is able to form sclerotia.(magic truffel or stone)
Sclerotia looks a little bit like a walnut and taste like a nut too.
The sclerotia grows underneath the mushroom throughout the substrate.
Under good conditions, it's also possible to grow only the sclerotia and not the mushroom itself.
