About Leonotis leonurus:
Leonotis leonurus, also known as Wild Dagga or Lion's ear/tail, is a common South African plant with brilliant orange flowers and pointy foliage that resembles marijuana leaves.
Use and effects of Leonotis leonurus:
Smoking Wild Dagga creates a relaxing effect that is comparable to, but less intense than that of THC. Other effects that can be experienced in a dagga high are also similar to a weed high: mild euphoria, visual changes, dizziness, nausea, sweating, drowsiness, and lightheadedness.
Dagga has reportedly been part of the Khoi plant medicine tradition for a long time, and its uses include treating a variety of ailments such as headaches, coughs, fever, TB, jaundice, muscular cramps, high blood pressure, diabetes, viral hepatitis, dysentery, asthma, hemorrhoids, and diarrhea.
A recent animal study found that dagga leaf extract has antinociceptive, anti-inflammatory, and hypoglycemic properties, and, similar to cannabis, the plant contains a terpene (Marrubiin, which has antioxidant and cardioprotective properties) and a cannabinoid (Docosatetraenoylethanolamide, which acts on the CB1 receptor).
The package contains 50g of dried Leonotis leonurus leaf and flower mix.
