The loose leaf powder comes in a 20 g pack. It is supplied in a resealable zip bag inside a brown paper outer pouch.
About the Strain
The white vein option sits alongside the green and red varieties in the Maeng Da range. It is made from dried Mitragyna speciosa leaves, ground into powder.
Botanical Background
The species grows naturally across parts of Southeast Asia, including central and southern Thailand and the northern Malay Peninsula. Its natural habitats include riverbanks and freshwater wetlands, where the ground stays moist for much of the year.
The leaves grow in opposite pairs along the branches. At the base of each pair are two small, leaflike structures called stipules. Leaf surfaces vary from glossy and waxy to softer, matt textures.
After flowering, the tree produces capsule fruits containing tiny, winged seeds. These can be carried by wind or water, helping the plant spread through its surroundings.
