The San Pedro cactus can go for long periods of time without water. Overwatering is a very common mistake which can be prevented by checking the soil regularly to see if there is still moisture. San Pedro cactus should only be watered when the soil is completely dry. It is important to avoid getting water on the cactus columns, as this can lead to rot and other issues. Watering the soil around the cactus is sufficient for providing the cactus with the moisture it needs

The watering schedule for your San Pedro cactus is influenced by the prevailing temperature and humidity in its growing environment.

During the growing season (spring and summer), you should water your plant every two to four weeks. You should reduce watering during the dormant period (fall and winter).
